Here's The Secret Behind The Method:
I failed for years trying to lose weight.
I tried eating clean.
I thought that if I could just cut out all of the junk, fast foods, baked goods, etc. and just eat “clean” that I would be able to lose weight. So I tried it. But it didn’t work for me because it sent my cravings through the roof. All day I would be thinking about how much I wanted something sweet. I’d go to bed with intense cravings. And it was only a matter of time until I gave in, crashed, and binge ate my way through all the things I deprived myself of and gained all the weight back.
I tried exercising more.
I enjoy exercising. So I thought, “Well, I’ll just exercise more. I have time in my schedule. If I’m exercising more, then surely I’ll accomplish my goal.” So that’s what I did. I ran more. I lifted more weights. I moved as much as I could. But this didn’t work either because it sent my hunger through the roof and it was only a matter of time until I crashed and gained back all the weight, yet again.
I tried products and meal replacements.
I was desperate to lose weight. I wanted to lose weight so badly that I was willing to try almost anything. I had some friends using shakes and meal replacement products and they seemed to be having some success. I really did not want to go that route by needing to rely on expensive recurring product subscriptions, but again, I felt desperate so I gave those a try too.
But that didn’t work for me either.
First, I hated the fact that I had to rely on a product to be successful.
Second, anytime there was a holiday meal, a potluck, eating out at a restaurant, or I ate off plan for any reason, it would always throw me off and I constantly felt like I had to start over.
And third, trying to bring a bunch of powder through an airport because I was trying to “stay on the plan” while traveling, ugh, no. That just wasn’t for me.
After feeling like I had tried all the things and nothing was working for me, I felt frustrated and defeated. I questioned whether I really had what it took to successfully lose weight. I felt like I was the problem. I even thought that maybe I should just accept my body the way it is. You know, all that self-love stuff and what not. But deep inside, I knew that was not the path I wanted to take.
I didn’t want to settle. I wanted results.
I wanted to look in the mirror and love what I saw. I wanted to be excited to take pictures instead of hiding from every camera. I wanted a new, better, healthier version of me inside and out.
So I had a conversation with myself and I said, “Okay, how do I lose weight without needing to give up all of my favorite foods, without needing to spend all my extra hours of the day exercising, and without needing to rely on expensive recurring products that I don’t even feel good about buying?”
Because I knew those things didn’t work for me, so I needed to find something that did.
So I started experimenting on myself. And then one day something amazing happened.
I had a day where I ate a lot of food, including my favorite chocolate chip cookies. I went to bed comfortable- no intense hunger or cravings. I had a normal exercise day, and the next day my weight went down.
And I was like, “Huh? Interesting.”
So I continued to do this day after day, week after week.
In just 12 weeks, I had lost more weight than any other weight loss strategy I had ever tried. And I experienced little to no hunger or cravings throughout the entire experience!
My confidence skyrocketed. I had a new energy and excitement to be out in public. And I felt proud of myself for not giving up despite all the failed attempts I had made trying to lose weight.
I didn't realize it at the time but I made a very powerful discovery.
